Nadleśnictwo Oborniki w Dąbrówce Leśnej zostało utworzone w czasach zaboru pruskiego, w 1893 roku. Dzisiaj, po blisko 130 latach działalności, Nadleśnictwo Oborniki stało się prekursorem w dziedzinie nowoczesnej edukacji leśnej. Die Oberförsterei Oborniki wurde 1893 im ehemaligen preußischen Teilungsgebiet gegründet. Seit fast 130 Jahren bewirtschaftet und betreut sie die Wälder, heutzutage ist sie aber auch für ihre Bildungsfunktion bekannt. Im Sitz der Oberförsterei in Dąbrówka Leśna wurde vor Kurzem eine Netzewald-Lehrkammer in der ganz neuen ultramodernen Gestaltung eröffnet. Mithilfe der Multimedia und modernen Technologien werden Wälder mit ihren vielfältigen Funktionen dargestellt. Die aktuellen waldbezogenen Projekte sind auch dank dem regionalen Fernsehen und Gemeinschaftsportelen zugänglich. Die umliegenden Wälder gehören zum Puszcza Notecka-Waldkomplex (Urwald am Fluss Netze).
